— Hot spot Broadway may have the hottest theater in town, but it’s not for everyone.
Theaters around Tulsa are becoming increasingly popular.
Tulsa’s newest theater, the Tulsa Hot Spot, opened Friday in the former T-Mobile Arena.
It has a capacity of 18,000 people and has a theater show called “Passion.”
It’s about a man who has been in remission for 20 years.
Tahlequah resident J.D. Johnson has been a theater supporter for a long time, but he has never been a big theater fan.
Johnson said that the theater in Tulsa is the perfect spot to watch a movie.
He said he has been going to the theater to watch “The Great Gatsby” on two or three occasions and said he likes the theater’s quality of show.
He said the show is also great for kids.
Tulamish County Auditor David Fitch said the theater is about 10 minutes from downtown.
Fitch is not sure how many tickets the theater has sold.
He thinks the number could be in the thousands.
