Hot spot Fairfax is now open and the glass houses at the glasshouse are still open for business, but not all are open at the same time.
The Glass House at the Fairmont Hotel in Sydney’s CBD has now opened its doors for business for the first time.
It opened in August this year and is owned by The Glass House, which is owned and operated by the Sydney Glasshouse Group.
The Glass Houses is the only glass house in Australia that has a location in the city centre.
Hot spot glass was the idea behind the project, which was conceived by Sydney Glasshouses founder Andrew Cuthbert.
Cuthbert said they hoped to give Sydney an authentic glass experience.
He said the venue was set to open in time for the Sydney Festival of Art.
“There are lots of great restaurants that are opening up around Sydney that have a similar vibe to what we have in Sydney and it’s really a great place to do it in,” Cuthberts said.
“It’s been really good to see the reaction and the response so we’re excited to open.”
The Glass house was built in the late 1970s and the original restaurant has been converted into a bar.
“The first bar that we opened was a little bit of a shock because it was just like an open bar and people were really excited about it,” Cottes said.
Hot spots like the Glass Houses can take a long time to open but that was never the intention.
“We’re hoping that we’re going to be able to get more and more people in and we want to see them enjoying the atmosphere,” Cllr Cottis said.
